Following a 35-year hotel management career spanning the globe, Ignacio Gomez-Tobar retired in late 2009 from Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. His last posting with the company was as regional vice president of operations based in Singapore, where he oversaw Four Seasons properties in Singapore, in Bali at Sayan and Jimbaran Bay, in Maldives at Kuda Huraa and Landaa Giraavaru and in Seychelles.

Ignacio moved to Singapore from his previous posting as opening general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Miami and Towers. In addition, as one of the company's regional vice presidents, he oversaw the operations of Four Seasons properties in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Carmelo, Uruguay; Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica; Great Exuma, Bahamas; Nevis, West Indies; and Mexico City and Punta Mita, Mexico. 

Prior to his posting in Miami, Ignacio served as opening GM of Four Seasons Hotel Prague and regional vice president with responsibility for Four Seasons Hotel Berlin and Four Seasons Hotel Budapest. 

Ignacio joined Four Seasons in 1992 as general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Mexico, D.F. In 1997, he was promoted to regional vice president with responsibility for Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and Four Seasons Hotel Caracas. 

Prior to joining Four Seasons, Ignacio spent 18 years with Hilton International in several locations including Chicago, Honolulu, Boston, Caracas, Nicosia, Montreal and Bogota. Ignacio's vast management expertise gathered around the globe during his distinguished career is now available to clients of his consultancy firm, IGT Advisors, LLC, based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Ignacio graduated from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
